This article presents a theoretical foundation for this approach, a variety of strategies for implementation, and a collection of films appropriate for use with gifted students. In this article the teacher noticed that one of his gifted students was usually away from the rest of the class during recess reading a book and not included in the play. He thought of the about the film Maitlda and using it as a teaching tool. He needed ways to a way to help gifted children in his resource room better understand the social and emotional issues in their lives and learn strategies to address their concerns.
